Do not complete the application without having the documents listed below. They must be ready to send shortly after we receive your application. If you do not send all documents within 48 hours of receiving a confirmation email from us, your application will be removed from consideration. Please attach your documents to the confirmation email that you will receive after submission.

Copy of Social Security Card (If you cannot find your card, you can apply for a replacement one. Send the receipt and send a copy of your SS card when you receive it)
Copy of Valid Driver’s License
Copy of High School Diploma; or (GED, State Equivalent, vocational school, transcripts, etc.)
Letter of Recommendation (can be from previous employers, current/past Operating Engineers members, co-workers, friends, family, etc.)
Resume (include personal and work history)
Veterans: Military DD-214
Submit any other certifications or documents you feel would be beneficial to your application (for example, 1st Aid/CPR cert, etc)

NOTE: Materials submitted will not be returned. Please send only copies of important documents. All applications will be reviewed by our Administrator and staff in early February of each year. We will invite most applicants to come to the Spangle facility for try-outs. Try-outs will begin in March and will last 1–2 days. Applicants that rank in the top 16 - 20 during try-outs will be invited back for Entry-Level Training. Entry-Level Training will start mid to the end of April for approximately four to eight weeks - each year is different. (You will not be paid during training). After the initial training period, you will be added to the Apprentice Out-of-Work list. We cannot guarantee immediate work as it is cyclical and depends solely on demand.
