This course certifies students in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.120.
The class is a combination of both Classroom and Hands-on experience.
The program provides students an awareness of the risks posed by
Hazmat work and a knowledge of the precautions that must be taken
as a prerequisite for the worker entering a Hazmat site.

It is a requirement of CFR 1910.120 to attend an 8-Hour Hazmat
Refresher Course once a year. Members who have received their original
40-Hour Certification through IUOE Local 370 are not required to
sign-up for 8-Hour Refresher Courses. We will notify these members
annually of dates, times and locations of upcoming classes.
